This is the box for the things you can't throw away but don't know what to do with. The collar. The last bag of treats. The little tag with her name on it. The lock of fur. The receipt from the vet that you should burn but you can't quite. The objects that don't have a place in your house anymore but still need a place.

Hand-finished hardwood with a soft fabric interior, brass hinge, and a quiet closure. Approximately 4 x 4 inches in size — meant to hold the small specific objects, not the large ones.

Keep it on the dresser, the bookshelf, the windowsill where she used to nap. Open it when you need to. Close it when you don't. The objects inside don't change. But your relationship to them does, slowly, year after year.

Not everything needs to be carried on your body. Some things need a small private home of their own. This is that home.
